Kristi Ferguson is a writer and researcher from Brazil who lives in Northern Virginia. Her creative writing has been published in Bellevue Literary Review, MAYDAY, Litro Magazine, and elsewhere.

Her writing has been supported by scholarships from the Sewanee Writers' Conference and the Kenyon Review Writer's Workshop. She reads creative nonfiction for TriQuarterly and earned a PhD in Cognitive Psychology in 2019.

Kristi is currently querying a memoir centered on a friendship between two girls growing up in an apocalyptic cult. Her latest project is a campus novel in which a burnt-out doctoral student on the brink of a mental breakdown faces a crisis in her estranged family the same week she is due to propose her dissertation in decision analysis.
